This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how 8ji ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal data of individuals ("you," "Player," or "User") who access or use the 8ji online gaming platform available at https://8ji.org (the "Platform").

By registering an account on 8ji or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy and consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described herein. If you do not agree with this Policy, you must not use the Platform.

This Policy should be read together with 8ji's Terms & Conditions, which govern your use of the Platform. Defined terms used but not defined in this Policy have the meanings given to them in the Terms & Conditions.

We do not collect sensitive personal information beyond what is strictly necessary for identity verification, regulatory compliance, and the provision of our services. We do not collect biometric data beyond selfie verification images used for KYC purposes.

8ji collects personal data through the following means:

8ji processes your personal data on the following legal bases under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173):

• Consent: Where you have given clear, informed consent to the processing of your data for a specific purpose (e.g., marketing communications).
• Contractual necessity: Where processing is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and 8ji (i.e., the Terms & Conditions governing your account and use of the Platform).
• Legal obligation: Where processing is required to comply with applicable Philippine law, including PAGCOR regulations, AMLA obligations, and tax reporting requirements.
• Legitimate interests: Where processing is necessary for 8ji's legitimate interests, including fraud prevention, platform security, and service improvement, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

8ji does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share your personal data with the following categories of recipients, strictly on a need-to-know basis:

• Payment processors: GCash, Maya, and Philippine banking partners, for the purpose of processing deposits and withdrawals.
• KYC and identity verification providers: Third-party services used to verify your identity and age in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Regulatory authorities: PAGCOR, the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), the National Privacy Commission (NPC), and other competent Philippine government authorities, where required by law or regulatory obligation.

Upon expiry of the applicable retention period, personal data will be securely deleted or anonymized in accordance with 8ji's data disposal procedures. Where data must be retained beyond these periods due to an ongoing legal dispute, regulatory investigation, or other legal obligation, it will be retained until that matter is resolved.

8ji implements a comprehensive set of technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction. These measures include:

• SSL/TLS encryption: All data transmitted between your device and the 8ji Platform is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols.

8ji uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Platform. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit the Platform. The following types of cookies are used:

• Strictly necessary cookies: Essential for the Platform to function. These include session authentication cookies and security tokens. They cannot be disabled without affecting Platform functionality.
• Functional cookies: Used to remember your preferences, such as language settings and display options, to provide a more personalized experience.
• Analytics cookies: Used to collect aggregated, anonymized data about how players use the Platform, helping 8ji identify areas for improvement. No personally identifiable information is shared with analytics providers.

The 8ji Platform is strictly intended for individuals aged 21 years and above, as required by Philippine gaming law. 8ji does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 21.

If 8ji becomes aware that personal data has been collected from a person under the age of 21, that data will be deleted immediately and the associated account will be closed. If you believe that a minor has registered an account on 8ji, please contact us immediately using the details in Section 13.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to use parental control tools and to monitor their children's online activity to prevent underage access to gaming platforms.

8ji reserves the right to update or amend this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our data processing practices, applicable law, or regulatory requirements. The effective date at the top of this Policy will be updated whenever a revision is made.

Where changes are material — meaning they significantly affect how we collect, use, or share your personal data — 8ji will notify registered players via the email address associated with their account at least fourteen (14) days before the changes take effect.
